... 12/03/10 Aberdeen City Council has virtually completed its new streamlined management structure – which will save almost £650,000 a year. Just one second-tier Head of Service post remains to be filled following the completion of a rigorous five-week selection process, which began at the end of January. City Council Chief Executive Sue Bruce said: "Aberdeen City Council has now made appointments to almost all the Head of Service posts, following a very robust recruitment process. Citizens, staff and our external partners can be confident that this new management team will be fully focused on delivering improvements and efficiencies in our key front-line services. "We have redesigned the organisation to ensure clear lines of responsibility - and by significantly slimming down senior management from 25.5 posts to 16.5, we will make salary savings of £3million over a five-year period.
